Dr Maryse Lapeyre-Mestre is MD, PhD, qualified in Clinical Pharmacology, Public Health and Pharmacoepidemiology. Among her hospital and public health activities, she is the Director of the Centre d’Evaluation et d’Information sur la Pharmacodépendance – Addictovigilance (CEIP-A) of Toulouse since 2003. In parallel, she set up a research team of Pharmacoepidemiology from 2003, team which joined the French National Institute of Research (INSERM) in 2011 in the UMR 1027 “ Epidémiologie et Analyses en Santé Publique”.

Her areas of research include evaluation of long term effects of drugs and drug safety. She has a particular interest in drug misuse and abuse and addiction to medications and performs research on determinants and outcomes of psychoactive drug use.
