Alexis Descatha is Professor of Occupational health at Angers University hospital. He is a member of the Team Epidemiology in Occupational Health and Ergonomics (ESTER), the tenth team of the Research Institute for Environmental and Occupational Health (IRSET). Until 2019, he was the head of the Occupational Health Unit at the Western Suburbs of Paris University hospital (Poincaré site). His research areas focus on musculoskeletal disorders and workplace emergency. He is editor in chief of les Archives des maladies professionnelles et de l'environnement.
